I met a really nice lady named Nancy who asked me to redo her antique desk for her. She brought it to my house and I loved it. I tried to buy it from her, but it was not meant to be. Instead we had to refinish it for her. I find antiques a bit tricky and this desk was no exception. The wood had to be handled with care and too much sanding could be disastrous. Here is the finished product and I think it turned out lovely.

Thanks for the comment. I love that desk, I think it turned out great.
I'm always so inspired by people who makeover furniture and sell it. It's something I've always wanted to do and there isn't really anything holding me back other than time. So each time I see another person doing it, I feel a little closer to it.
Yay! Another AZ blogger! I'm glad you linked up with the Homemaker on a Dime party! I love that desk! I have one sitting on my garage that is awaiting a similar makeover. New follower :) Can't wait to see other pieces!
LOVE how this turned out. I'm a big fan of painting bases right now and leaving the tops stained!
