It's been one hot summer here in Phoenix and that my good friends has kept me out of my garage working on furniture. My real job is sitting in front of my computer explaining to businesses how to put data into their software program. Unfortunately, my "real job" starts at 6:00am and does not leave me the early morning hours to work on my passion....refinishing furniture. This summer has not been all work. I have managed to make time for a trip with my dear friends to Northern Arizona, to a lovely cabin and also to Las Vegas for a week with my family. It has been a lovely summer with so much fun, but I am looking forward to some cooler weather so I can get back to my garage. With all the fun that I had this summer, I did manage to pull together 1 project. I found this dresser and immediately fell in love with the design. Let me know what you think of the finished project. This is what it looked like before.
And this is the after. Linking to

Nice job Shannon. Very chic look.
Shannon, I think it looks like a million bucks! I love the white background in the center it really gives the piece some pizzaz and jazz! I'm glad you were also able to enjoy your summer too.

shannon thanks for stopping by my blog (life's a journey) i popped in your to see who was following me. When i saw the title of your blog i expected to see a bunch of white slightly distressed furniture but was pleasantly surprised to see this sharp crisp black and white dresser. Beautiful work. It's funny how something like a divorce can bring about a talent or passion that has been lying under the surface.
Very smart redo. Crisp, clean.
Just found your blog via "Better After"...as soon as I saw Queen Creek in your blog name, I had to check it out! I live in Gilbert and I don't "see" a lot of people from Arizona while blog hopping.
I have been meandering through your blog and drooling over your great transformations...it's fun to see someone local who shares my love for furniture transformations...I will be back for sure!
Fantastic job---I love it! Thanks for sharing!
