Some of you have been wondering where I have been. It has been a very busy few weeks with travel and my “real” job that I have not had time to post anything. We do have some upcoming projects in the works that I am very excited about. So stay tuned…………………………………

This is why we love what we do!
I was so excited to post the antique desk makeover yesterday. I was even more excited when Nancy came to pick it up. The look on her face made it all worthwhile. This is why Kenny and I love what we do. It makes us so happy to see joy on someone’s face when they see what their furniture has become. It also put a smile on our face this morning when we read this very nice email from Nancy.
She said:
Love it! It looks really great in my room. And when I look at the before/after pics on your site, wow. It makes me remember how it looked before (pretty sad) and how it looks now (oh-so pretty). Thank you for both for your hard work in the transformation. It really looks nice. And it's nice to already have some pictures I can show my friends just by sending them your link!
Thank you Nancy for the kind words. It really made our day!

Antique Desk Before & After
I met a really nice lady named Nancy who asked me to redo her antique desk for her. She brought it to my house and I loved it. I tried to buy it from her, but it was not meant to be. Instead we had to refinish it for her. I find antiques a bit tricky and this desk was no exception. The wood had to be handled with care and too much sanding could be disastrous. Here is the finished product and I think it turned out lovely.
